By 18th July 2017fresh news

A New bespoke changeable Fixture board will mark the beginning of  a new era for Wortley RUFC. The club based in South Yorkshire is nearly completion of it’s brand new Rugby facilities thanks to £20,000 of Sector 106 funding as a result of the development at the former Penistone Grammar School site. The club has also secured £65,000 from Sport England’s, ‘Playing Fields Initiative’, and has allocated £15,000 of its own funds towards the project.

Measuring a whacking 2.5m  x 1.75m, the changeable sign is printed on a 3 mm thick metal board with ample letter channels to promote 2 games plus club news.

Our large display letters, LPM 15, measuring 148 mm high, have been chosen allowing passing traffic to get weekly updates on forthcoming matches with a readership distance of up to 30 metres. 2 signs have been commissioned allowing a triangular structure to be build so the sign will be seen from either direction when passing by the new development.

The changeable letter boards which will be coated in an anti aging lacquer have allowed for a multitude of sponsorship opportunities with 6 sponsors currently appearing on the fixtureboard.

Here’s what the club said about our service levels during the initial consultation and design process:

Excellent Service
Contacted readerboards regarding new signs for our Rugby Club. They were very helpful and responded to my (frequent) emails straight away. We had a number of changes of layout and logos and this was all dealt with.

We wish the club all the very best in the future and look forward to seeing lots of tweets!

Lastly here is one great tip you need to consider when planning a new changeable sign for your club!

Always provide us with high quality logos and club crests; what we want is files in eps, ai or psd formats. These are print friendly files and will allow us to make changes to them if required. Your sponsors will be deeply disappointed with the new fixture board if their logos are of poor quality. Through our own experience club sponsors will have these, but because they can’t always open them on a PC, they disregard them. The golden rule is: if they can’t open the digital files – WE WANT THEM!
